A Celebration of Tapas, Wine, and Catalan Heritage
Can Bo Vins & Tapes is a vibrant dining destination in Ciutat Vella, offering a refined yet inviting take on Spanish cuisine. Located at street level in the Grand Hotel Central, the restaurant is a meeting place where locals and visitors alike can savour expertly crafted tapas and sharing plates, all made with fresh, locally sourced ingredients.
At the helm is chef Oliver Peña, bringing experience from Michelin-starred kitchens, alongside Lorenzo Cavazzoni, executive chef of the hotel. Their menu celebrates the essence of Spanish gastronomy, from traditional tapas to inventive small plates, perfectly paired with selections from an extensive wine list curated by sommelier Amador Marín. With over 100 labels featuring local Spanish vineyards, as well as international selections from France and Italy, wine is at the heart of the Can Bo experience.
Designed by London’s Sagrada studio, the space is bright and welcoming, with large windows that flood the dining room with natural light. Mediterranean elegance meets cosy sophistication, creating the perfect setting to enjoy a leisurely meal in the historic centre of Barcelona. The restaurant’s name itself pays homage to the building’s past, drawing inspiration from Francesc Cambó, the visionary behind the structure, while also embracing the Catalan word “Bo,” meaning good—an apt reflection of its approach to food and hospitality.
